My New Blog

With all the talk lately about predatory lending, foreclosures, subprime problems coupled with what the climate is outside of real estate it's enough to make you want to "head for the mountains!"  Heading for the mountains isn't a bad idea but the reason is because our real estate market is still fairly stable.  I still consistently see closed listings in our Multiple Listing Service and clients are still looking at the mountains as a great place to raise their families, own a second home or just breathe the fresh air and the magnificent views while enjoying their retirement years.  Developers are vyying for land to build and subdivisions are popping up all across the county.  2008 will be an exciting year for Haywood County as we are celebrating it's existence for the 200th year and that celebration will be in full swing for the entire year!  Yes, it's time to "head for the mountains!" and enjoy what we've been experiencing.
